Dear Friends and Baseball Fans:
I started the Willie Randolph Foundation with the goal of enhancing athletic opportunities for New York City children, emphasizing youth baseball programs and the improvement of their playing facilities.
Growing up in Brooklyn I had the opportunity to play baseball and the
occasional game of stick ball from sun up to sun down just about every day.
My passion for the game led me to playing for the Yankees for 13 years,
coaching for the Yankees for 11 years (earning six World Series rings as a
player and coach) and now being the Manager of the Mets and the first
African-American manager of a New York baseball team.
Today there is a lack of quality playing facilities with organized programs. My vision is for the Willie Randolph Foundation to be a major catalyst to reinvigorate such programs in New York City and help spark a resurgence of passion for the game of baseball in today’s youth. It has been a great honor to award grants to The East Harlem Little League, Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School located in Brooklyn, New York, as well as the New York City Parks Department.
Thank you for helping to make my childhood memories a reality for the youngsters of today by supporting this cause that is very dear to my heart.
Sincerely,

Willie Randolph
